Throughout
the month of February, I’ve learned how to write press releases. There were 3
press releases I have written for the media to publish in the newspaper.
However, before I send out the press release I did request my supervisor to
check everything first to make sure what I wrote was on the right track.
1 – First
Day of Chinese New Year
It was great
that we were able to invite the Former World Champions, the Sabah Lion Dance
Troupe of SJK @ Yick Nam. Guests at Novotel Kota Kinabalu 1Borneo were
entertained with a fascinating performance by the lion dance troupe earlier of
that day. It was a festive moment for our guest and staff who also took the
opportunity to get some form of blessings from the lions.

Novotel Kota Kinabalu 1Borneo Shares Coffee Break with Taxi Drivers
Taxi drivers
that keep the city moving day and night were treated to a morning coffee break
recently by Novotel Kota Kinabalu 1Borneo. The event was part of the hotel’s
efforts in fostering closer ties with the taxi drivers and as a token of
appreciation for their service as front-line ambassadors. Taxi drivers who drew
up at the hotel front porch were met by the hotel General Manager and treated
to a coffee break prepared by the hotel’s chefs.

Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s
Day is a romantic day for couples to celebrate. During the day, I am so excited
that I have this chance to get involved with this event to prepare and set up Novotel
restaurant, The Square. By setting up this event was to ready for couple to
celebrate and have their romantic dinner. At that night, it was almost full to
book the Valentine’s Day set dinner because it’s only left last few seats to
grab. Besides that, it was also an opportunity for couples to win exciting
lucky draw prizes which sponsored by Accor Group such as a 2D1N stay in a
Honeymoon Suite, 2D1N stay at Novotel KLCC and 3D2N stay at Pullman Putrajaya
Lakeside.
