Time Flies

I supposed time flies. I am one of the first few in the class who secured a placement with my current company. Before I know it, this internship will end in about less than 4 weeks time. As mentioned in my previous entry quite a long while ago, I am working full time in the same company as well.

Due to the adverse conditions in the economy right now, business is not as good as before as companies cut back on expenditure and implement travel freeze. I feel that in a tough climate like this, it is very important to stay very focused at the tasks on hand and be very motivated at work.

In my case, it is also about believing in the company's culture and way of doing things. It is debatable if results generated will be great but as at least it is back to doing the basics right. This also means to me doing things right and fast at the same time and this boils down to good time management.

In the company that I am doing my placement, I am also taught to prioritise my work as there are just too much and first things first. This is a very important skill that I will bring with me wherever I go in future.

Now it is time for to start writing press release. Something new since I started my placement.

Be back soon.

3rd week into my internship

Hi there! Though I am 3 weeks into my internship, I am totally not new to my company. I am currently a permanent staff here and yes.. leveraging on what I am already doing.

This is the first time that I am blogging here and yes.. I know it is like 3 weeks and I just blogged. Pardon me.. I have been working through nights and I am still in the office right now. Though the press conference that I have is over for 2 weeks, the work has yet to come to an end. Probably this is also the first time I get scolded by a reporter. Tough luck with my first time handling press & media on home ground in Singapore at a Singapore event.

Well I would say it is a real different experience wanting press for the press conference but also rejecting press at the same time for the main conference. I met some really nice press too.

I got to get back to my work and go home soon. 940pm in the office on a friday night is definitely no fun.

Last but not least, I hope everyone is all well & good!
