My first day as an intern was on the 29th June 2015 with the Solid Minerals Development
Funds(SMDF) in the Organization's Public Relations department.
In the first week working with the organization, I was given access to the Organization's passed reports which I was to review and take note of. I was assigned as a committee member of a committee which was then working on the Environmental Management Capacity building program for the Nigeria Mining Sector.
The report we worked on, I was assigned the tasks of Identifying stakeholders, categorizing the stakeholders involved from a perspective of a PR practitioner and to structure and tabulate the format of the report. I was also asked to Identify and state the lessons learnt from past experience in the Nigeria Mining Sector. And Lastly as a team we defined a strategy to be used in creating awareness to the stakeholders involved and community as a whole.
