World Water Day 2015. The big event had finally arrived !!!

The event was rescheduled two days prior to the event and due to severe lack of time, the hostesses did not have their World Water Uniform. I was told that traditionally, the CWA proposes that in such cases, the hostesses have to dress in a sari. I was delighted to hear that despite the fact that I was in charge of uniforms and we had already selected some nice and classy designs.

I helped to place CWA's water drop  mascot in front of the door and helped to organize the registration table. Once done, my colleague Veni and I were asked to greet the guests. After a while, another colleague asked one of us to greet the guests at the front. Veni volunteered and stayed there for about 20 to 30 mins. She returned along with the minister and I thought, '' I missed such a great chance to greet the minister''. After the opening ceremony, we were asked to accompany the guests for their tea break. I guided the guests and the university students back into the hall as the seminar was about to start. At the end of the event, we ensured that all the guests had their lunch before serving ourselves.

The feedback from the CWA's employees about the event was fair enough. The event was not open to the public like it is usually done and not all employees of the CWA were invited which made it even more weird. I wished that this grand event could have occurred the way I planned it with all the hard work behind that. Sometimes being too excited about something can bring some surprises. I realized that this event was such an important responsibility and I executed everything that the team leader told me to do yet circumstances can play you bad. A few days before the event, everyone would be telling me, ''Your big day is finally near''. Everyone linked me with this event. Well challenges are always a way to pave our way to success.
