Nespresso was under my company's retainer account and they have shared many fond memories over previous launches before. I was honored to be a part of this launch thanks to my superiors. The above photo was proof of a success media launch event that my company organized together with the people from Nespresso. That's me and the people who were involved in the event last month! (:
It was barely my first week of internship when I was asked to help out during the event itself. It was exciting and fun and we had to make sure everything falls in place and the guests were equipped with the press releases. I had the best time bonding with some of my colleagues who were there at the event and got the opportunity to learn on-hand what happens during an event.
They are now anticipating their official product launch that is going to happen next week. My colleagues and I have spent the past month planning and making sure the event falls goes smoothly, up to the littlest details like food and decor. I was sometimes tasked to call suppliers and agents to give us a quotation on their services, like a barista, for example.
Initially, I was nervous about calling a total stranger and inquiring on their services, but after a few tries and learning how to be more confident when talking to people over the phone, I finally got the hang of it. I even get to call media and have a chat with them after following up on the invites. It was indeed something I've learnt beyond the textbooks.
I am looking forward to yet another successful event next week!
