I can't believe my time here at Planet Borneo has come to an end what a wonderful time i have had learning and experiencing PR in the "real world" well at least outside of the classroom. In my time here I got to experience not only Public Relations as we have learnt in the lectures and text books but i have gained a fresh new outlook and perspective on working or as they call it living life in the fast lane. This experience truly opened my eyes on how you can learn about so many different things just by starting with a simple question and trust me the world truly isn't just black and white. Getting the job done is one thing but being able to create something out of pure passion and for the love of your respected job is another.
I was able to use a lot of what i have learnt in my pass units during the course of my placement, every single unit counts in order to achieve a successful outcome. In my time here i am fortunate to have been able to meet great people and added many new contacts that will hopefully be useful for me in the future in the tourism, marketing and the PR industry. Public Relations in Tourism is certainly a combination I am interest to work in again in the future and what a great place to start. Meeting new people and being close to something you truly take pride in is something everyone should possess in this industry, I am glad to say that I will be pursuing a carrier in Public Relations in the future.
