Half way through my placement!!

Hi all!!

This is my first post and I am undertaking my pr placement (a one month internship) at Professional Public Relations (PPR) in Subiaco and the time has gone by so quickly, that I am more than halfway through!

When I first commenced the placement I was so nervous, as PPR is the biggest pr consultancy in WA (with an outstanding client base including Perth Fashion Festival, McDonalds, Bunnings, Chevron and LandCorp) and they have close to 50 staff working from the one building, so I was feeling very intimidated!

However, things soon changed when I meet most people, as everyone here is really friendly and accomodating, and a great group of people have provided me with ongoing tasks!

So far in my placement I have attended a Social Media Webinar, hosted by PRIA, which was really interesting and informative and I have also undertaken the majority of research for an upcoming client pitch (I can't say who the client is, but if the pitch is successful, PPR will be adding to their already amazing client base!).

I have also been given a variety of writing tasks including writing catchy media releases for Bunnings and providing a written evaluation from the feedback of a recent event held by LandCorp. These tasks have been helpful as they are assisting me in further developing my writing skills.

I am thoroughly enjoying my placement so far and I can't wait to be given more tasks as each day is different and exciting!

I look forward to your feedback on this post and I willl keep you all updated on the goings-on at PPR during my time there!
