I did it!! Wow what a weight off my shoulders, the CinefestOZ week is over! I almost couldn't believe it, the time spent in the South West flew by and I didn't get to go to one single wine tasting... oh well. The lessons I learnt well and truly made up for it!I feel so lucky to have had such a hands on internship, which allowed me to practice what I had learnt at university, but also to learn all the practical day-to-day things that can't be read in a textbook. I have been involved in a number of projects, from writing emails and booking flights, to running a cinema, to compiling door lists and VIP Masters. I have learnt so much from how to professionally communicate and writer, to how to use ticketing systems and not to use gas heaters in marquees - no matter how big they are!
The team I worked with were helpful, fun, committed and talented! I feel this valuable experience has helped me feel much more confident and excited in the proposition of getting a job in 'the real world'!
