Hey, Audrey here, I found my internship position in my hometown Shanghai, China.

The great Britain brand Rolls-Royce is likely to organize a VIP events in Shanghai, after several options, they finally selected The Water House at South Bund in Shanghai. This is a boutique hotel and it combines hotel and event functions.

This VIP event aims at:
1, Enhance the brand image, reputation
2, Tell the brand story, attract potential targeted groups, face to face communication
3, Listen feedbacks from VIP customers
4, Create the opportunity to introduce
5, Maintain media relations

This event will take place around the middle of June, my supervisor asked me to draft some simple documents, on-the-day timetable and media release (only Chinese version). Honestly, I was worried about my writing skills. I was not sure whether it is a good writing.

PR job is an intensive work, you should working on multiple tasks! I really feel that sometimes I can follow teams' steps, they were so effective for every details, I admire that they can carefully concern every single details as well as fix them faster! Really need to learn more in the future. On-going practice, practice....

Here are drafts. I have translated the event plan here; after that, chinese-version draft of media release.

Great Beginning, Internship in Shanghai

Location: Shanghai, China
Dates: 10 April Friday (Practice) 11 April Saturday (Qualifying) 12 April Sunday (Race)
Official Website: https://www.formula1.com

Hey, Audrey here, I found my internship position in my hometown Shanghai, China.

Shanghai International Circuit is best known as the venue for the annual Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix, which it first hosted in 2004. My internship time was originally expected from 22 April to the end of May, however, I quickly contacted with my fellows after arrived at Shanghai. At that moment, they were involving in many affairs in relation to Shanghai Formula 1 from the beginning of 2015. It naturally became my first task during internship.

Basically, Shanghai F1 can be considered as the combination of numerous events, including team/clubs events, media conferences, a variety of sponsors and auto brands. The team I involved in was in charge of VIP areas, I needed to verify so much detailed information before opening, lots of names, titles, contact information, and every single events in areas. Three days, it has 22 events.....This verification of checking is a necessity for avoiding media furious fansunauthorized access. A three-day exhausting work, I had to run everywhere to communication different department to make sure every venues could be well-prepared for each events. Due to international perspectives, every brand and club were expecting the perfect performances, sometimes, they were looked like very anxious and they did not want to wait for everything, I think they might be very stress for introducing their best for their VIP guests or foreign top-executive managers.

Almost every event has different catering suppliers, media fellow, vip guests and other stuff, that means it was every difficult to organize and control. although they should have their own authorized access passports, they still cluttered around and stayed for potential media focus.
I have learnt that the preparation job is sooooooo crucial for a successful events, every detail and potential element should be concerned. It should be a tough work, you have to communicate with different people day to day, some confirmed process might be abandoned and you need to rescheduled patiently. In the process, you start to feel that I am involving, involving....PR field.
