PRISCILLA: IT GETS BETTER AND INTERESTING!

Well as time went by, i got used to my bosses. we could sit and chart about work, we went to lunch together and sat in a big group discussing all our plans and everybody had a chance to chip in. since i was assigned to be the casting coordinator, i had to work on the project everyday until the end of my internship. but when the was nothing else to work on, i mostly did research.
so in week three i and my intern collegue had to brainstorm about all the places we could put our posters, places with lots of young, hippy people who are interested in the peforming arts (acting, dancing, hosting shows and modelling).
so we immediately thought of colleges, shopping malls and night clubs!
but we couldnt put up posters in shopping malls, so we had only colleges and clubs. my bosses didnt like the idea of clubs so we stuck to colleges and one pub which is mainly for college students in Cyberjaya. after shortlisting my target places, i had to look for their numbers on the internet and call them to ask about the procedures we had to go through in order to put up the posters. luckly most of the colleges such as Sunway, Inti, Taylors, MMuU and Limkokwing were cooperative so there was no problem at all. A few wanted us to pay, and others totally refused. But nevertheless our poster plcaement went on successfully.
during this period i also had to make sure that enough casting forms and audition scripts were printed and ready. same thing about the cameras, microphones, and lights.
it was during this period that i received a lot of calls and emails from interested people who wanted me to book them for casting, eventhough it was still an open thing.
so i was busy talking to so many people, others contacting me for more inormation, others about the directions to our office and it really got me all worked up.
thats the industry, no time to rest!!!!
i t was at this point in time that i began missing school!!!!!
i was tired and yet excited!!!!!

No time! no Rest!

Interesting thought which i totally agree. Public Relations ought to be exciting once you are willing to make sacrifices and be like a doctor on call for crises or to brush up on events or press conferences.

For some that would be the dark side of PR but in a way its a challenge and an excitement to be part of something big, to expand the network, meet and be acquainted.

it is motivating to see my fellow internship mates being as involved as i was and being able to draw at least some self satisfaction from our internship means we at least did something good.

Cheers
