I'm doing my placement at LunchBox List Events which runs networking and career development days for women in business and women with careers in Perth.
In my first few weeks I have already learnt so much just by being in the office and soaking up everything going on around me. I guess being an intern is a like being a sponge, you tend to just soak up everything thats around you.
So far i've sent my days trying to track down people on the emailing data base whose emails keep bouncing back, finding and adding new women to the database, and calling companies who are already on it and seeing if they are interested in coming along to an event.
The best part so far is getting to help out at events because not only do i get to see all that happens on event day, I also got to hear most of the speakers and hear their career tips and advice!
