Day 20

Hi all,

Finally i have gotten through 20 days!! The girls in the office have asked me to stay on for an extra week just to help out with an event, so I'm not officially done with the placement, but none-the-less it still feels good to complete that 20-day milestone.

So since my last blog, nothing really eventful has been happening. Much of the work they have had me doing is trying to find promotional models for a new client. This was harder than I had expected. The client was a alcoholic beverage company, which required girls to present the new product to bottle shops throughout Perth. I had problems finding girls who were available during work hours. This was because most of our girls either worked full time, so they were not available during the time we needed them, or uni students, who are approaching the end of the semester so working promotions was the last thing on their mind. On top of this we had to make sure the promo models had their RSA (responsible service of alcohol certificate) and the company had to approve the girls. Lets just say the past few weeks were filled with over 200 phone calls of pleading and begging.

The company is approaching their first ever awards night, having awards such as best photographic model, best male model, best party venue, etc. I have been helping out by informing the nominees and telling them to get people to the website and vote, personally calling models who have worked with us recently to see if they wanted to reserve tickets, updating the guest list and calling other businesses to contribute toward the night. Contribution could be toward funding, sponsoring an award, offering discounts to ticket holders, etc. The event is fast approaching so we are now hoping thickets will sell.

So now it is crunch time to get the report completed. Good luck to all!

Regards,
Ivy
