my thoughts!

A good morning to you

I am now getting used to being in the office set up, which is very different from the class set up. I never knew before what practising Public Relations can be like. I used to think that public relations was an easy task to do, but i can see that it is not as easy as i thought. I am ready to face all involved in public relations. Now its time to face reality and have a glimpse of what the working world is like.

his makes me to think about my future plans as in like do i want to work for somebody? or do i want to start up my own consultancy. my bosses are young and vibrant, and they set up their own company , without working for many years for somebody.. one mistake i do not want to do.. i just feel like after 2 years of working for somebody, i should be able to now set up my own office, just a thought!

I have now also realised the purpose of the first PR i did, which was public relations techniques, which was very good in teaching me all about public relations and what it involves, How a PR officer should be presentale, be confident, and to be always ready to tackle any situation they maybe faced with in their firm.

hope you guys are enjoying every bit of your internship, good or bad experience, whether u are getting paid or not.....

would love to hear what you guys think, and not only what you do daily!

heheheh internship is pretty challenging, even though we are learning a whole lot and staff, its takes a whole lot, getting up early and staff like that, we have to adjust and all but that takes a while hey!!and yes we are getting a glimpse of what the real world is like which is good as it also contributes a whole lot in molding us.So hang in there, like u said its advisable to work for someone first before starting your own thing, at least 4/5 years that would do
Good luck ya :-)

It is quite interesting that you raised an issue we do not mention about the challenge of working in an office environment.Of course its something different from campus.I have learnt that you have to adjust to the environment, and most importantly take initiative to make sure you are also occupied. But I guess about working for yourself, its better to work for sometime to get the feel of the field and later on venture on your own.
all the best with your internship Trish!
