We learn from our mistakes right?

Hello everyone.....Am back!!!

I guess there is nothing wrong with being corrected right?I don't know about you but i have noticed that not all of us will agree on the same thing no matter what, the way we see or interpret things differs from one person to another. In the work place you should always be prepared to be corrected for we all learn from our mistakes and it is from those mistakes that we do something that is far much better than what we did before, Talking from experience..haaahhaaa..Well today i had to submit all the three things that i was assigned to do and two were approved and as for the brouchure i have to go and correct there and there but its not a big deal. So all i have to do, is try my level best to come up with something that will make my boss smile by the end of that week and that is designing brouchure of the year. Let me tell you my brothers and sisters, producing something of high quality is all that count in the work place, please your boss and everything will be just perfect!!!

Thats all for today...

Thanks for popping by and please the floor is all yours to comment

Thank you dear...Its a good thing that you went back and corrected it rather than ignoring your boss or decide to quit because you did not want to be corrected..

In our correction we produce perfect things. It is just like when you are walking you can not see you back, am I right? The person next to you is very important as they can tell you that the accident is coming behind you and you can flee. My boss asked me to write a viro(personal invitation letter) to my friends for our upcoming event. I was asked to go and correct it like three times but I was still patient to do that.

Correction also brings the best that is inside of us that we are ignorant at times to bring out.

Continue to learn dear as the best will come out of you.

All the best

You are right Jenet correction comes along with patience...if you are patient and you are willing to be corrected it brings the best out of you...The fact that were asked to write that letter time and again and never gave up shows something good about you and i guess you are proud of yourself at this time and point.

yeah u right Mpho we all make mistakes however some of our supervisors will shout even for a tiny tiny little thing you knw, but i guess is the working industry. Just like you stated lets just keep on doing what is right to please our bosses , or do beyond the required standards to prove that you are so into doing PR with passion not because is part of our course work... Talking from experience was asked to do media listing first arranging thousands cards accordingly(by company names) , alphabetically and was given three days to do it, but i made it all these sleepless nights and my boss was so amazed telling me he was joking... so i guess wherever we go we get tested and my advise to y'all is keep on moving never let any comment bring you down, rather get to understand it and correct yourself, have a POSITIVE ATTITUDE toward everything, it works for me.

wooow...Tshono i really admire the kind of attitude that you have and i bet its going to keep you motivated enough to do any task that you will be assigned to do whole heartedly without you being discouraged.I have noticed that in the work place its not everyone who will smile with you or show you your mistakes but just treat them all the same.As for those who push too hard i guess you just have to stand up for yourself, in a polite way though and just tell them how you really feel and so that they understand.

i totally agree with you...we learn from our mistakes and learn from the mistakes of others too! there is nothing wrong from learning from your mistakes, you actually produce better results.

i remember the first time i was asked to write minutes at a meeting. hahahahaha, i just wrote points, my boss was not impressed but then he taught me how to write and now i am the best minute writer!

take care! any help u need i am available

Haaahahhaaa...Trish Trish Trish!!!ok fine can you please teach me how to take minutes so that when i attend a meeting i would know exactly what to do...Its a good thing that your boss taught you how to take minutes, there is nothing that hurts like someone telling you do something and that person can really see that you dont get what he or she is not trying to say but doesnt show you what to do but rather leaves you pending and confused and even if you try to tell the person that you dont get his or her point but she/he just pretends as you are not saying anything.

hey Mpho
yep we do learn from our mistakes but for others it takes a few knocks on the side of the head for the message to be received.haha, as for the brochure thing, 2/3 is 66.67 (il round it off to 67%)and that is a pass close enough to a credit...there is always a silver lining under a dark cloud problem is we tend to focus more on the cloud. i applaud u for seeing the silver lining. thats the workplace for you, you got to embrace it.

Hey Mpho

Guess what happened today?!! My supervisor just told me I handed in a wrong weekly report and corrected me, gave me the right format. It was my first time for me to write a weekly report because they believe I am now familiar with what we are supposed to do which I appreciate. Having made the mistake I was a bit embarrased but I appreciate the fact that my supervisor was kind enough to help me do the right thing.

I had a great time during lunch time with our team, the boss was there so as we were enjoying I took advantage of the moment and apologised to my boss fo rhanding over the wrong report to him and he was appreciative for the fact that I found it right to ask for forgiveness.

Thats true dear, we learn from our mistake and I have learnt that I should always cross check my work before I hand it over for assessment. I have to always check for correction which is the best way to learn

enjoy the remaining weeks dear....
