THE FINAL LAP

Hi Everyone

Happy Chinese New Year!! Time Flies, I am reaching the final lap of my school life.

Today is my final blog entry and I will be ending PR393 soon with a final report in Feb 2011 but my internship program will continue all the way till May 2011 as per my agreement with my consultant when he first took me in as an intern for his company.

During these 4 weeks, I was given the opportunity to put what I have learnt in school to use in the practical world. From the development of a Public relation report (strategic aspect) to writing out press releases, fact sheet, newsletter and flyers (Technical aspect). I am slowly working toward the realisation of goals set on my PR plan for my client through the use of PR tools and tactics.

In the next 4 months to come, there will be a lot of technical PR involved as other that the usual writing stuff, I will also be preparing for the launch of a charity bowl event for my client.

It’s definitely going to be a busy period for me but it also allows me to have a better understanding of what Public relation consultancy is all about.

I hope with this internship experience, it will make my entry to the Public Relation industry a bit easier.
