Let me embrace and acknowledge you transcendently for spending your precious time to go through my blog post. Well, with this one I am going to focus on internal communication within the MoA employees.
The Ministry of Agriculture has not forgotten the importance of strategic internal communication hence why there are electronic, print, workspace and face-to-face channels to distribute information. The electronic method they utilize is email messaging which is done via Outlook. All the employees in the ministry have created their own personal outlook accounts so all the vital and necessary information is communicated via this emailing system. The other most utilized electronic channel is telephoning.
Print information distribution is done via brochures, newsletters and magazines. Meetings or briefings and consultation forums are always used to distribute information face-to-face. Notice boards are also used as the workspace channel.
So from what I have seen and experienced I believe the communication channels with employees are sound and appropriate because of the following reasons;
- The messages allow a two-way symmetrical communication between employees and management.
- Communicate clear values and goals
- The messages are comprehensive and consistent
- Messages are integrated with the overall business strategy
- Utilize the appropriate methods of communication
- Encourage employees’ commitment and enthusiasm because they engage them, and
- They develop a long term focus.

well in my work experience in the department of broadcasting and services our strongest point when it comes to internal communications is through meetings and committees.
Staff meetings can create a culture of teamwork, foster communication and develop an ownership mentality among staff.(John,S.2007 page 4).The department has a weekly staff meeting where all issues of the department are to be discussed with the supervisors. Prior to the meeting the staffs is informed about it through emails and on notice boards
Staff meetings are also effective means to communication .DBS facilitates two general staff meetings in a year as a way of deploying multi-format content delivery platforms. The goal of these meetings is to formalize streamline, improve channels of communication and information dissemination. The meeting is attended by all staff members from all regions. This is to make those from small branches to feel involved in the department’s achievement and so that information can be disseminated accurately
