Hello
Well i would start by saying that this has been an amazing journey.I came to ABU with no experience and not knowing what to expect. But now i a m lost of words because i learnt so
many things that putting in words is not enough especially regarding to public relations and also working at ABU developed as an individual.
This is my last blog and i am so grateful to all the staff at ABU for the assistance and guidance during my internship program,it has been an eye opener. with a few weeks since the symposium event ,which was a success by the way many thanks to working as a team.It is during the event that i came to realized that importance of working as a team and its benefits which includes enabling tasks to be done with easy and work not piling in on one person. I learnt to be efficient particularly when doing things under pressure and executing them in a precise way. Of which before i could not do. Although everyone was up on their toes all the time,i enjoyed being busy on the field of four day conference and putting my pubic relations skills into work.
Mostly i m so grateful to my supervisors in the technical department for being patient with me,starting to work i was new to the working world but they supported me all the way in making sure i accomplished my work on time. I would make a lot of mistakes and be frustrated at my self for not grasping things at a faster pacer, looking the fact that i was a university student i had the pressure to do things as wanted and be eloquent at my job. however with time I improved in my communication skills, learnt from my mistakes and also brushed my ethics in dealing with clients.
Looking back , i have come to realize how important is the role pubic relations in an organization regardless of the nature of the business. Public relations has a place in taking an organisation like ABU to another level. One thing for certain , is that public relations is growing rapidly globally and here to stay and i a m happy to have had the opportunity to take part in a public relations module. I will definitely take all that i have learnt from ABU and apply it as a venture into a career in public relations
Thanks to everyone and take care !
It has been fun writing updates on the blog.

Hello Rachael
Looking at your post i can tell you had a fabulous time which is great. You are soo fortunate to have been attached ABU which is a good PR organization looking at your post unfortunately everything have to come to end. Want is more important is to take all what you learn from ABU to the industry.
Is just the matter of time before we take on the industry. Looking at the PR industry at Botswana i have to admit is at it low point but with better equipped people like me and you, things will change for better and hopeful make a significant change.
We have a lot do as far as PR is cornered at Botswana. Lets make a change from what we have learn from the industry.
