It's a wrap!

Hi guys,

It's the start of the term again and i hope everyone is coping well with their studies :)

Long story short, i've finally completed my internship at Sarawak Tourism Board just two weeks ago. However, unfortunately, i was only there for 15 days as i had to fly back to Perth to commence my study so i couldn't stay any longer. Time flies isn't it. I felt like i just started the placement and then three weeks later, BAM , i'm back in campus again attending classes. I guess that's what they meant by time flies when you're having fun.

Anyway, the experience i had in STB was absolutely unforgettable. I've met many different people from different places and the most amazing part is that we still keep in contact even after i've left the place for a while now. Other than that, i've also learnt a lot especially on dealing with people and relations as well as organizing and carrying out the premeditated plans. I've also gotten a clearer view of what public relations is all about. The organizations or companies we worked for are basically like the puppets. We're the person behind pulling the strings for movements and how the messages are delivered to the audience completely rely on us. Three weeks may be short but i'm glad that i've learnt more than expected. But of course, there were also days when i have nothing to do all in the office but oh well, not that i'm complaining.

It was a really quick internship and i had to leave with a heavy heart. My supervisor even told me that they would love to have me back again if i were to be back in town. It was so heart-warming and the feeling of being 'wanted' is completely indescribable.

Before i end this post, i just want to say that I hope everyone is enjoying their placement ! Don't worry, I know that there are times when all you wanted to do is counting down the time to go home but trust me, you'll definitely miss the place once you're done with internship. Been there , done that.

I guess that's all from me! Until next time.

P.S. I'm also currently looking for another placement to do in Perth and have already sent out a few applications so fingers-crossed ! :) I need all the luck i can get so wish me luck !
