Hi guys,
It's been a while since i last updated. Anyway long story short, i've landed myself another internship placement here in Perth. As you all may or may not know (but now you know), i've actually done my internship back in my hometown in Malaysia over the summer in Sarawak Tourism Board but unfortunately , it was only a 15 days internship as the semester is starting soon so with no choice, i had to fly back to Perth. It was definitely hard to say goodbye to all the awesome people i've met in the small department but nevertheless, i am still very thankful that the 15 days internship went well and fruitful.
Anyway, like i've said i am currently doing my second internship here in Perth. It's a non-profit organization for the disabilities called IdentityWA. It's been 3 weeks now but due to classes and assignments, i only go to work twice a week in their head office in Kensington. Compared to what i did in Sarawak Tourism Board back in Malaysia, i've got more workloads here to do as i am the only intern for their organization this semester. It was really busy but oh wells, as the saying goes, time flies when you're busy so i guess that's fine. My supervisor has been very helpful and welcoming as well. As a communication/public relation graduate herself, she has been teaching me a lot on how proper researches should be done and how articles should be written to attract the right audience as well as how good internal communication is the key to success.
I'm very excited for my coming shifts. With my main major in Film and Television, i've also volunteered to help the organization to film a short video about a lady from one of IdentityWA's home respite services. If all goes well, the video will go up onto their main website and yes, i am very excited. It's nice to be able to do something for the community while at the same time doing an internship for study purposes. It's like hitting two birds with one stone and that feels great. haha joke
Alrighty, that was a brief update from me and see you guys next time :)
