Safety is a race we can all win.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.” - Theodore Roosevelt

This was a safety message sent out to staff today - Do you think this is too confronting for a Friday morning?

I definitely think this is confronting for a Friday morning especially if they haven't had their morning coffee but I think this safety message is very effective in delivering its message by being confronting and really encourages people to think about the consequences of their actions.

The quote from Theodore Roosevelt helps to support the video and reiterates that prevention is best but if that is not the case, then doing something is better than doing nothing at all.

I think this safety message will make employees think twice about turning a blind eye to a problem. That being said, it also depends on the environment in which you work in but overall it shows that managers and employees have a responsibility to keep each other safe and is definitely a "race that we can all win".
