RECOMMENDATIONS

This internship gave me an opportunity to develop some ideas, to see through that some things can be improved in the organization. There are only two people under the Public Relations sector, the Public Relations manager Mrs. Tumi Balopi and the assistant Ms. Sadie Mosiakgabo. I recommend the company to increase the PR staff, as the two are always under pressure, as the workload is huge in this bustling department. For example; the time of the court case between eBotswana and SABC, many calls were coming in and the PR manager was not around, so the assistant had a hard time to answer to various questions from people who came with different kinds of attitude.

 Another idea that I put through that I feel should be taken into consideration and action, is that of Facebook Friday. Where it will make the employees to get together and get to know each other much well. Since in eBotswana Facebook is blocked most times, it will be unblocked on Fridays in the afternoon, just for an hour, so that the employees talk to each and interact. Also, there will be an expert in one of the field to answer all the questions that the key publics want answers to, for example; the aerial that is to be bought in order for people to be able to watch eBotswana TV channel and why is it others cannot be able to watch even if they are capable of getting aerials moreover when the problem will get fixed.
