REVOLUTION OF MATERNITY SERVICES

the PMH PR office had a lot at hand and i should say what they carried out during my placement was very insightful and i got my hands and mind at work with great pr duties.event management was one great sector i loved working on and this taught me team work spirit, professionalism in terms of keeping up to date with time to meet deadlines, also delivering the best to meet the best needs of the clients and reshaping the name of the organisation too.
the office took responsibility to initiate and manage an event that was aimed at a bigger vision to decongest maternity wards in the Hospital as accommodation seem to be a challenge in this department and the hospital in general. This project was initiated by Princess Marina Hospital and the greater Gaborone DHMT to assist decongest Princess Marina and also to ensure that all services provided in the clinics within the DHMT are fully utilized. All clinics with maternity services within the greater Gaborone DHMT will be equipped to fully render maternity services.
A decision to include Tlokweng and Mogoditshane Clinics under the Management of Gaborone was to improve access to health care services for Gaborone and neighboring villages.  These villages are also in the Princess Marina and Gaborone Clinics Catchment area.
this was one of the greatest strategies that i feel was well planned. As an intern student this was an eye opener and i loved the fact that in the brainstorming sessions i got the chance to be valued and influenced the great decision that worked for the good of the hospital,Gaborone region and for the customers as well.this was very impressive in how the people accepted the project and measuring the outcome of it,reports that came in at the beginning of 2012 showed a good impression with the pregnant patients and all the mothers who got the chance to give labor in the clinics that had the maternity service.
in all this gave a good motive in doing to the maximum for all events and projects we plan in reshaping the name of the Hospital and delivering good service to our customer in line with the hospital mission.

Chao!!
