Hello
again everyone!
The
favorite part of my internship at Momentum Forum Events (MFE) was definitely
the chance to be involved in the event planning! During my time there, I had
the opportunity to draft a media release to promote MFE’s event. The format of
MFE’s media release was very different from what I have learned at Curtin, as
it contains real information on real organization! I had to keep proofreading
the media release because any error on it can greatly affect the company’s
credibility.
I
also had the opportunity to meet and work together with a very lovely intern, Kiara.
We have both worked together effectively in ensuring the event is carefully
planned before the actual day. I truly believe that having a great teamwork is important in
planning a good event.
One
thing I have learned from my internship was that it is necessary to have a good
pre-event promotion to attract people to the event. This is because a good
publicity can help a company to communicate its key messages whilst promoting the
event.
In
my opinion, planning an event can be a very stressful and complex process.
However I am glad that I was able to be involved in the planning stage up to the actual day. The experience that I have gained from managing the event was truly
amazing!
Kind
regards,
Rhea

Hi Rhea!
It's good to know your favorite part of the internship. Planning an event is indeed a great experience. Although I did not have the chance to plan one, I was involved in a few such as Graduation Day as well as the Go Bald Campaign. You remember that campaign which was held annually in campus right?
I was also asked to draft a media release on the event and it was definitely different from what we learned back then. But I guess this is the real world. What we learn is one thing, and how we apply it in our career is another.
Anyways, all the best with your internship! Hope to see you soon!
Cheers,
Vivian :)
