Busy week before semester starts

Hi all!

So far, this is my third post and I am going to write about what I have learnt and done during the last week.

Besides redesigning company brochure, my department also decided to redesign the company name card. Name card is an essential tool to show the company's professionalism. My colleague and I discussed the design and content of the name card together and made a final draft idea within two days. As one of my colleagues is capable in using Photoshop, he was assigned to redesign the name card. Our Managing Director, Tris was satisfied with our work and efficiency.

Another pr tactic that my company is going to implement is to organize a seminar. Organizing an event is not that easy as I thought before. We were asked to make full use of limited budget beside maximizing the company profit. Lots of research need to be done further such as looking for an event venue, speakers, catering service and so on.  Besides, I remembered that I have learnt to design event checklist and running schedule in PR Technique 220. So I am able to apply what I have learnt before and I felt confident that this seminar will be organized successfully.

On the other hand, I was assigned to do some research on clubs and associations in Perth and come out with some ideas on the ways to cooperate with them in order to gain chance to promote my company.

It was definitely quite a busy week for me, but I have learnt a lot too.

A new semester will be started tomorrow and I hope everyone has a good start and enjoy it!

More to come next week.

hey, I can see that your supervisor puts in lots of trust in you for making you come out with ideas and plans. I really feel proud of myself when the plan I proposed get selected. I bet you'll do the same!

Enjoy your internship and looking forward for your next post updates.

Hi Yee Ting,

Sounds like it was a huge week for you, but wow, well done in coming up with a design within 2 days.

How was the event? Did it went well? Did you find it difficult to do up a timesheet and event procedures?

Anyway, good luck and I hope you enjoy the rest of your intern! :)
