I always was required to follow my boss around every time he heads out to meet a client to pitch his proposal in hopes of them wanting to sign us to provide the workshops. Every time we head out to meet a client or attend events, I was expected to be his "personal assistant" and his PR Representative. My boss says it is a trick to increasing your credibility as a person and makes you look important. And so when we do head out, everything feels like we were on stage and that every "dialog" that was said if something that is going to impress the "audience" and leave a great impression. It was so fun talking to potential clients about my boss and how influential he is in Hong Kong and his background then casually moving towards introducing his services and workshops that are offered. This experience gave me a feel of what it was like being a publist for a public figure and how you carry yourself affects the perception of others upon the company you work for. You are the face of the company when you head out and one slip may jeopardize the image of the company. IIts a great approach to PR really, PR for People
SIncerely,
Kaneges
