First encounters

Before looking up for internships, i have a few dilemmas to settle:
Dilemma 1: Who and how should i contact?
Dilemma 2: What type of experience am i looking for?
Dilemma 3: What industry should i go for?
Dilemma 4: Does the company's status affect your future cv?
Having getting concerns from others, people around actually asked if i am interested in working with them, it seemed like a good start.
But getting into the real thing, isn't that simple, especially having to work with people you know.
For me, I prefer challenges, hence approaching a totally new environment would be better.
After having much thoughts on the dilemmas, i made up my mind - to go for a company that will provide unexpected experiences.

The first meeting (30 January)
Being the usual student-type getting ready for the first meeting.
"How should i perform? or how am i performing."
Waiting for the time to come makes you tense as ever.
Reaching the offices, general signs welcome you. Time to look for where you belong, because of the interior, i caught myself circulating the office floor twice.
Working in the PR department, of course you have to know your thing, so first thing, read your papers - I was offered newspapers to read.
The meeting with the manager was fast - direct information on what i will be doing during my intern duration.
Best question of the day was "Are you up for the challenge?"

First day, First experience - My challenge (2 February)
I was early, too early perhaps - trying to get over the nervousness.

My first challenge: I was worried about what my task will be, and can imagine many possibilities. I was given something that I think I might not be able to do well - Writing speeches.

I will be grateful if any of you can share any speech writing information or tips with me, i will much appreciate it.

Thats it for the moment. I will keep everyone posted with the upcoming events from the council.

Hope you have a nice day~

Hi there,

It's amazing to see other interns feel the same way as I did on my first day to work. There is just never enough preparations! But I am sure you will be fine and successful. Be yourself and be out there for the world to see how amazing you are.

I found some tips on speech writing for you, so I hope it helps.
