Living Up To Expectations With The After  School Project !!!

Without sense of caring, there can be no sense of community. Business is not all about making money rather it is also a way to achieve peace through respect for human rights and social responsibility. Social and environmental impact creates a huge influence to people.Organizations with well-defined social responsibility programs can improve their brand reputation, attract more job seekers and customers. The importance of corporate social responsibility has increased in recent years, in large part due to the growing influence of millennial. Brand loyalty belongs to companies that offer actionable solutions to specific social problems.

I want to give honor to whom honor is due. More acknowledgment to my Boss for being so amazing, understanding and adaptable. She has been a great degree eminent and understanding as I unlock my Career destination "Public Relations" into reality. Even with the knowledge gained so far I can vow that am 85 percent prepared to join the workforce. In as much as my Internship program will be ending this month yet I have done several tasks that are worthwhile which includes Organizing my own event called "DARE TO DREAM"and producing  two(2)well written Press Release. Having the opportunity to organize my own event was a great honor, in spite of the challenges I encountered in the course of preparing my event it made me realize that only fighters survive in the real workforce. It pushed me into being more accountable, determined and focus.I was opportuned to be the organizing chairperson for the event After School Project collaborated with Zero strays which is "Colouring for Love".

Out of all the community outreach initiative programs implemented by the company,I was able to work with The After School Project.

I deserve some credit.I feel so delighted and honored organizing this event single handily. Although it sounds so easy but trust me I had lots of challenges at first that I nearly gave up but with the help of research I was able to tackle those issues. The challenges I encountered in the course  of preparing for the event includes Where is the ideal venue? Message that is going to be conveyed with the event?Where will the event be held? When will the event be held? What is the goal of the event?Who are the target audience?I was really stressed at that point. I simply didn’t know what to do,I was dumbfounded.Poor me, After the whole thinking plus sleepless night I was able to come up with event name "DARE TO DREAM"  with the theme "Inspiring Children to believe and achieve". It was a huge success.

All things being equal, the fun with educational event was a huge success. The experience gained so far working with Interhill Group  is just an eye opener. I have never thought in my life that I was going to have opportunity like this to organize my own event especially with kids so dear to my heart. Still can't believe am ending my internship this month, I kept on wishing if only I interned for 3 months. The journey to my future career just got started and enriched . All thanks to Interhill Group.

Lastly, lessons learnt from this internship programs are pretty much which cannot be taken for granted. It is good to be aware that Corporate social responsibility  programs arose from the understanding that businesses function as a part of society, the success of each deeply affects the other.
