PR can be Adventurous

Hello there everyone, i would like to share my experience that i have during one of my field inspection trip to one of the Palm Oil field. It was a two hour drive from the office to Greenfield Palm Oil Estate and me and my colleagues were assigned to deliver a small seminar for the small stakeholders farmers to educate them on which palm oil is the ones necessary for harvest.

As you can see these are the palm oil trees that is being planted in the field.

I was quite nervous because it will be my first time to be helping with my colleagues to deliver this small seminar to the people there. But in the end it went well than expected and i gain a little bit of confidence to be able to communicate with the people there.

Here we are preparing for the slides, while the farmers get themselves ready for the seminar.

And here are the farmers who attended the seminar.

The area is quite simple and nice, and this has been a very thrilling experience for me because i learned on that day on how people think in today's society and that life is getting harder for them.

I hope you enjoyed this sharing and in case you dont know how an palm oil fruit looks like.

It looks like this.

Cheers.

Hi Jon!

Interesting post, Its good to see community awareness and outreach programs like this being conducted.
Palm oil being such a huge source of income, education about its proper management is necessary. This small seminar of yours as you call it is going to help the locals achieve better harvests and in turn benefit their income and livelihood.

Good job and I am glad your internship has been enlightening!

This has to be one of the coolest placements ever. not only you get to travel but to learn as well. not everyday you get to have an insight look at how farmers harvest palm oil. not only they benefit from the seminar you and your team conduct but you too benefit from them. good job man,

i hoped you had a good placement

Hello Jon,
It sounds like an amazing experience and such an amazing opportunity.
Its clear that corporate social responsibility is important to the company you are interning at and it's interesting to see how they facilitated that for the workers with outreach programs.
I would have been nervous to speak, but it sounds like it was a great experience and one that really would have helped build confidence.
I hope you enjoyed the rest of your placement.
