Signing Ceremony!

What you are looking at right now is... a signing ceremony between Unique Harvest Sdn Bhd and Telekom Malaysia Berhad! It is an agreement for the installation of high speed broadband (HSBB) at The Wharf Condominium (a new property of Interhill Group).

On the same month (December 2015), we had to prepare for this ceremony right after we got back from the pre-christmas celebration in Long Kabing (logging camp). H-E-C-T-I-C but with great teamwork, everything went well! :)

This is our team! Sort of.. (excluding the forth and the sixth person from the left, they just wanted to be in the picture as well) :). A day before the ceremony, we had to set up the whole place and it wasn't as easy as i thought it would be. We even had to test out the lighting to ensure that it was bright enough for the reporters to take great pictures! Yeap! small details yet very important!

* We had to do media registration, prepare press release for the reporters and also door gifts!

Let me introduce to you the young and adorable (in the middle with an orange tie) state general manager for Telekom Malaysia, Mr. Sabini!

Here we have Mr. Albert, the Director of Unique Harvest, giving his opening speech!

(From the right) Project Director of Unique Harvest Datin Alice, Executive Director of Interhill Group of Companies Datin Lau, and State General Manager of TM MR Sabini.

The signing ceremony begins!

Say CHEESE! :)

Tea time!

Challenges: On the day of the ceremony, Datin Alice approached me and asked " Who is that reporter and from which media outlet?" as we walked towards the reporters together. I was lucky because I was in charged of the media registration so I could identify them. So i told her who he was and she approached him, shook his hand and said oh hi Mr ___, so you're from____! Nerve-wrecking but phew! so guys, it is important to know all the relevant stakeholders!

Wow June! Your placement is really exciting and filled with so much events and activities (including CSR projects)! It is really fascinating to see what you have experience throughout your placement in Interhill and I believe you have definitely gained a lot of experience! Something that caught my attention was when you mentioned that Datin Alice was asking you about the reporter and from which media outlet. I have experienced something similar in my placement and this is a good reminder that Public Relations is so much more than just the doings but it is also the being (a public relations practitioner) which includes being present and knowledgeable of everything regarding the event, program, and etc. It is good to always be reminded and to not lose focus. Keep it up June!
