My steps in organizing a safety campaign

My work as a PRO

As a PRO I have been faced with tasks which I found enjoyable and challenging which include publicity, promotions, events, campaigns, advertising, media relations and organization meetings. Of all this tasks the most challenging one was organizing a campaign this takes a few steps and extra work, I had to organize meetings for discussion about the campaign, the purpose of the campaign is to sensetise the public about railway accidents and incident.

My communication has improved a lot because of the meetings, at first seeing myself with board members, managers and officers was frightening which failed me to share my ideas, however it trained me in terms of speaking professionally as the meeting was very professional and everyone was allowed to contribute. It has now come to my desk to team up with other team players and make the campaign more effective make sure the strategies are in place and communicate with the media and make the campaign a success. There are important steps that need to be followed before carrying out a campaign,

Step 1: Discussion of Issues With colleagues

Step 2: Setting Up a Meeting

Step 3: Creating a Strong United Organizing Committee and map the way forward

Step 4: putting the strategies in place

Step 5: Making the campaign a success.

Research is also one of the important thing that makes the campaign effective.

Time management/meeting deadlines is one of the most important thing either is a meeting or writing. In a meeting there has to be a schedule to save time in order to give others time. Meeting deadlines is also a vital, when preparing newsletters I have to work according to time but coming up with good work, which has improved my writing skills. I am still working with my team players to bring the campaign to the public.

So you managed to come up with the strategies for the campaign, well done.I agree with you, organising a campaign is such a challenging work.First you have to come up with arrangements for the meetings, sending press releases to different media.Deadline, punctuality, looking professional is some of the things that need to be taken into consideration. One thing I also realised is that even if you are an intern when dealing with the campaigns you have to make sure you are free, you communicate well with your publics and in that way even the dominant collision treat you like one of them.
All the best my dear and in case you need any help, contact me neh.
