Last week I attended and helped at the Staff Cocktail party which was a real buzz! As I have mentioned in previous blogs Christ Church are celebrating their centenary year. The cocktail party was a chance for all former and current staff to catch up. Me, and other members of the Community Relations staff welcomed guests, provided them with their name badge which we had made and gave them each a centenary Christ Church pin. The whole evening was a great success!
I have also been helping with the organisation of the school 'Field Days'. Christ Church holds Field Days in rural areas in Western Australia to both catch up with old boys and also encourage people from these area's to send their boys to the boarding school. We have been working on the administration and formalities of the events and also been able to show more of a creative side through invitations. I wish I was able to see the actual days but due to obvious reasons won't be there (Broome, Wagin, Dowerin, Karratha and Newdegate) on the day.
I can't believe I'm coming to the end of my prac. I'm going to be so sad to leave as I have been at Christ Church for quite a while now and feel I have formed relationships with staff and feel I have established myself there. I have learnt so much and will take so much knowledge with me when I leave.
