Hi....
This is so far the 3rd week of my PR Internship at Red Crescent. I really don't know where to start because i have been posting anything for the past 2 weeks but i will just break it down for you.
The first day i was a bit nervouse but had to put myself together and be confident enough to do any work i was assigned to do.On that day when i arrived i was giving an office to work on and given 2 books to read so that i know what the organisation is all about.Again, i was assigned to look at the Red Crescent website and compare the information that was in it with the information that was in the book and note down what i felt was important enought to be added in the website. To make the work more interesting, i was asked to work with the Lady who works at the I.T department for 2 weeks to help her design and update the website. She was friendly and that made it easy for me to comment on what had to be done. She told me to type all the information that needed to be updated and later transfer it to publisher and make a draft of what i want the website to look like and where to place the information i wrote.
The Second week i was still working on the information for the website and i was also assigned to work on what had to be written on the flyer for another event that was to take place.I wrote it and later designed the flyer and submited the draft that was on publisher. It was approved then the following day i had to submit the final work which i had to do on photoshop then submit it. On Friday i was asked to write a message that was to be displayed on another charity event.
This week my task is to design a brouchure, poster and compile photos for the exhibition and i have to be done by today. It is a bit hectic but i am enjoying it. For me i find it interesting to be in the working industry.
Thats all for today. Thank you for checking my blog and please feel free to comment neah...

Hey Mpho.. but you are learning other things like creating websites besides the Public Relations staff, thats good as well. Have your company started planning for any event so far?
Hello, Mpho...Creating websites, designing brochures, wow thats a good staff.Do you remember Ms Asmawati's words?? She used to say that "Public Relations is a bit of everything," and it is very true.
After reading your post i realised that creativity is the culture of organizations. At Salina & Associates Public Relations we are also exposed to other things like measurements, drawing floor plans which i never thought its part of PR, but it is.
Hi...Guess in the real industry its a bit different from what we do in class but at the end of the day we all learn something new which is quite good...As events there are events that have been talking place but i havent attended any..Was suppose to attend a meeting last week so i was told not to because it was in Bahasa..Maybe next time it will be in English then i can attend
I have also been working on updating the website content.Event though it requires research,it is such great experience that the companies let us contribute something significant.
