PHATSIMO DIKHUDU LUCT

This department (DWNP) that I’m working in is very busy, as I’m in the Community Support and Outreach division, in the Communications Unit. On the 4th week of my internship, there was a launch of noble community outreach projects that commenced on the 17/12/2010. This effort to help the community will be done on a monthly basis in different communities, whereby different ways to eliviate hunger or poverty will be implemented. For example vegetable gardens were made and trees were planted during the Bontleng Community Project. Therefore as a member of the Information Services unit, we had to prepare a press release which was added to the Weekly Bulletin that is distributed to all the Division in the Department.

Department of Wildlife and National Parks dealt with a lot of clients (same mission as dwnp branches all over the country under the Department on Wildlife and National Parks), as well as the spokesperson, as the Department depends on us to know what is going on, where, when, how and why; therefore our duty as members of Information Services Unit, we have to provide them with all the valuable and up to date information.

On this 4th week, I was appointed to do a feature article on a Mr. Motlhaping, the Chief Administration Officer, on his retirement which is on the 31st of January 2011.
