Hi Everyone,
This past week has been crazy as they are pushing for launch of the new Wheelchair Sports website. Its been a bit stressful with having a bit of a full on day at the internship and being full on at uni at the moment and this has resulted in me struggling to complete assignment :S
Anyways the website is pretty much completed we are just finishing up housekeeping. We are also trying to fix the broken link problems that i mentioned in the last blog. So hopefully ill have fun with that on Thursday :S
On a more positive note i forgot to mention in my last blog that the Wheelchair Sports Association were thrilled to have had coverage on Channel 9 last Sunday as apart of the 2011 City2Surf story.
I got to write up another feature story but this time on a 21year-old Western Australian athlete called Josh Yates. He has a life threatening metabloic disorder causing him to suffer from vision impairment and he recieved a bone marrow transplant a few years back. He has already won 5 gold medals in athletics at the Australian Paralympics Youth Game in 2009 and this year at the 2011 World Transplant Games he won a silver metal in the 5000m race walk. His story is super insipring and im very happy that the feature article will be in this months newsletter :D I hope that it also gets picked up by the local community paper too!
