Planing an event is not joke especially if it's a huge event like this one, A Night of Love Songs with Rozz, a jazz night to raise funds and create awareness for PT Foundation.
From the objectives, purpose of the event, and the kind of event we wanted was already covered. The event was held in a bar at night therefore that already determined who our target audience were going to be, youth and the elderly.
They post planning process was not that bad as compared to a few days before the event. We faced a lot of set back when most of the volunteers who were supposed to help did not turn up, the artist being late we have make plan B to keep the audiences from leaving. Luckily the band was already there and saved the day.
Lesson Learned
At the end of the event I had learned that when working with people always have another plan, not just one but as many as possible because anything is possible and you wouldn't want to disappoint your audiences. Expect the worst and have a solution for it.
Until next time

Were you satisfied with the number of people that turned up for the event?
Event planning is most crucial part in PR since if you didn't do anything right at the beginning dont expect anything better at the end, but from your post i can tell you and your colleagues had a Plan B which is so brillant and happy your learned something important out of this.
Looking forward for your next post
Hi KeseB,
I had a similar situation at my internship last week when we ran our big corporate event, 'The Resource Panel'. Our wine sponsor did not turn up and the company had to then pay for the champagne by the bottle at the Pan Pacific Hotel which cost about $38 per bottle. It was our plan B, we didn't want to execute it but sadly had to! A lesson all PR professionals need to learn! - Sarah
Even though there was great numbers of people who attended the event i was not impressed becuase i had expected more that that. But i really appretiated those that came, without them there wuold have been a disaster and the fact that they were patient even when the artist was late.
Thank you for the comments guys
