Not to mention, there was not a moment that we felt bored, there was always something to do. I'm definitely going to participate in Relay For Life Curtin next year, and it is not because i am in the committee, but i was genuinely having the best time of my life. This goes to show that after every downfall, there will be a sliver-lining. Cancers survivors had to suffer a tragic disease, however, they didn't give up and what Relay For Life Curtin did was, to show them that no matter how hard it is, we would all come together to make their days better.
I'm extremely proud to be part of such an amazing committee and to be able to pull off such an event. The captures of all the fun are all up on: https://www.facebook.com/relayforlifecurtin. Have a look. :)
To my friends who are reading this, try participating the event next year, or even better, try out to be in the committee! You will not regret it!
Thank you for reading and i hope all your internhip experiences are just as amazing as mine!(Which im sure it is.) :D

Hi Rebecca,
Firstly, congratulations on what sounds like a very successful event! It's great to hear that your efforts as a PR professional has impacted positively on the wider community and helped a great cause, which will be an asset to your resume by showing how you have effectively considered CSR as an intern.
It just goes to show that in PR, rain hail or shine, the show must go on! A plan A, B,C,D,E (and so on) must be thought of in order for an event to run effortlessly, something which I learnt when devising an issues contingency plan in PR consultancy. I'm sure the company you were interning with would have made sure of this, and it's great hearing you played such a hands on role throughout the day and that your experience has stimulated the desire to participate in the event again next year.
Once again, congratulations and good luck for the rest of the year.

Hi Tahlia,
Thank you for such kind words! :D Yes, I'm definitely grateful, to be able to get the chance to be in such a fun and awesome committee. They work so hard to fight against Cancer, helping cancer survivors feel appreciated as a "hero".
I absolutely agree with you about how no matter rain, hail or shine, the event had to go on. We had equipments hired just for the days (Oct 18-19), hired expertises to work on the days to ensure absolute safety, volunteers and committee members taking the days off, and even Curtin's security offered their services for the days. Therefore, there was too much at stake.
Yes, you were right, our company did have a debrief on what would happen if the event had to be cancelled.
It was amazingly fun! haha How was your internship experience?
