Multitasking

 Second week

Last  week was very hectic,  between the phone, doing newsletter,  preparing a press kit and also preparing for an upcoming event. 

The  week started with writing at least three newsletters as we were  to do the coverage of  a conference in Berlin. There was a delegation that went to Berlin to have  working sessions with other companies.  Here in Mauritius we had to wait for feed backs each day and then write daily newsletters to keep everyone updated.

Apart from the newsletters, I got a new task to do which was  to review a  press kit. The press kit is about the promotion of Mauritius to other international media. It is quite bulky as it needed to be restructured and pictures needed to be placed which definitely took time but it’s very interesting as I am learning how to promote my Island and be clear in the writing ……

The third task, is about an event taking place in June  that they are organising  and I have to get the names of marketing managers of the selected companies and their e-mails,  so that invitations can be sent , to inform them about the upcoming  event. It’s  time consuming but quite interesting as well as i got to know people and interesting places which myself did not even know!!!!!!!  It’s exciting to be part of an event because  when the event  actually happens, you get that satisfaction to say, I was part of the preparation. It was not easy, but I did it…..
