YU LOUNGE Media tour

My internship has started by helping my crew in organizing a media tour which took place at the airport. It was a fruitful experience for me as i was responsible to call all the media and convince them to send their journalists to the event.

I can say that it was a success as there were more than 10 different newspapers and radios which covered the event afterwards. I am certain that the small tasks that i did has helped me a lot to boost my confidence. Calling all the Chief Editors and hearing the voice of people which you usually hear on TV makes you feel more confident and encourages you to undertake other tasks without any fear.

Hi Rushil,
Indeed I would say that you have done a marvelous job by managing to convince the media people to attend your event. I know how it is when you have to call someone, sometimes they are not available, its engaged and sometimes you need to talk to other people and finally reach the one you wanted to talk. We have learnt in class that we need to maintain good relations with the media so as to be able to get free coverage. And there needs to be several factors needed to make your event a newsworthy one. On the other hand, I would say it is a good thing that you can develop good contacts with the local media and I am sure you saw people when you only saw them on Television or heard them on radio. I am pleased to hear that now you are more confident while performing your tasks and I wish you good luck ahead.
Thank You
Hans
