Hi everyone! This is my second post about my internship in ParkCity Everly Hotel Bintulu. I can’t wait to share my working experience to all of you! Yesterday, I was invited to attend the press release of the wedding fair which organised by ParkCity Everly Hotel Bintulu. This was the first time I attended press releases event and I’m very nervous, seriously. My supervisor told me that reporters from different newspapers company were going to attend this event. Before the reporters arrived, my colleagues and I went to the ball room to get ready. As public relations professionals, all of us were dressed formally as it is a formal event to invite the reporters to write report about the wedding fair.
After the reporters arrived, my colleagues gave them a copy of the press release of the wedding fair and some of the forms for the competitions that will be organised on the wedding fair. I’m really happy by that time because the press release of the wedding fair was written by me! *happy face* Then, all of us were served with 7 types of dishes included Everly hot dish combination, 8 treasures soup, deep fried chicken with thai apple sauce, butter sweet corn prawn and many more. Reporters were discussing the details of the wedding fair with my colleagues while having those dishes. It’s a great way for us to increase our relationship with the reporters as they can communicate with an informal way so that everyone can be relax.
This press release event took around one and a half hour to end and I’m really full! The reporters then took group photos of the staffs who involved in the wedding fair after the lunch. It was a special press release event I ever attended and I hope I can attend such event again!
