We Work Hard, We Play Hard Too!

Hi All!

Being working with bunches of coolest people in the company; I would not want to trade the days and experiences that I have shared with them for the world! I have learnt so much so fast from using the Photostat machine to helping the company creating their latest website for 2009! Im proud to say that this internship has taught me to not afraid of trying new stuff plus to feel the fear and do it anyway. Here’s the reason why I said so.

S&A PR has big shot clients. Few of the bunches such as the DELICIOUS Group and Nandos have been their loyal clients for the past 9 years due to their unstoppable success in making nothing to be something. One of the few is the Asia Asset Management, a company that provides a training centre, forums for the big names people in Malaysia and galore.

Through out my placement there, I was asked to make calls to several of these big names of 1000 over people. I had to call all of their personal assistances to update their personal details. This is because; the company was planning to be given a forum about financial and investment to them and to be held in the middle of March.

What I learnt most about this particular task is that it taught me to be a smart multi tasker in terms of putting all my work in orders and get it all done a.s.a.p. Besides that, it taught me not to be too shy when making calls because that was when I represented my company and I needed to sound good for the company’s reputation.

There were a lot of calls to be made and I was actually shocked to know that I managed to breaking down the numbers to only 50 more of calls to go! My CEO was so impressed with me that she actually had asked me to start working on her next big thing.. The company 2009’s WEBSITE! Can things get any worst? Hee! But it was all right and I was happy that I didn’t complained back then. Somehow, I must say that the bound between Selina, the CEO and me is coming along well.

I love my internship already and could not wait to have a PR company of my own!

Later!

you want a pr company of your own? I could only imagine how busy that's going to be :)

and you seem to be going along really well with the CEO? :)

Anyhow, I have done those "people calling" thing, it was tiring! eheheh. How was it for you? Cause sometimes it gets so hard to contact the clients, for my case anyways. What about you? You had trouble doing that too?

And what do you usually contact your clients for? What do you asks?

Yeah, I wanna have one soonest! Keep the faith! Hehehe. PR is very interesting when you put the passion on it. I dont see myself doing PR before too but internship has opened my eyes that this industry has a lot to offer and what I like most about it is how it gives back to the community. Likey2~!

Yuppers.. The CEO is so hot. A mother of 3 but looking nothing but gorgeous all the time. Thats why everybody calls her, 'Malaysia's Kimora Lee'. Workaholic yet still HOT! :)

Couldnt agree more with you. "Calling" thingy was very much tense! But Im glad I can cope with it. I didnt have much troubles but I did deal with some people who cant cooperate well.

We all at S&A PR would usually contact our clients to keep them update with the work in progress that we are currently focusing on. It was more of like updating and reminding each other about stuff. :)

Hi, Lina

that seems nice to have your own PR company. At some time me too had the idea of having my own PR company but had to abandoned the idea as in Mauritius many people do not know what is PR.

I am also impressed about how you manage to call all these person. During my internship I had to call about 50 persons and I did found it a tired job to be on the phone. However as you said, we are representing the company and hence we should be confident when talking.

Good luck

Cheers

Ritchie
