After a handful of events that Limkokwing has had for the past weeks, Heal the World concert, The Bernama TV interviews, Miss Botswana's visit, I realized one thing, lack of communication across departments and faculties in the university. This then makes it difficult to run things smoothly.
Prior to the Heal The World Concert, most Limkokwing university staff and students were unaware, therefore the internal turn up of the concert was not pleasing. It is very important for the internal key publics to be well informed of any events that an organization is taking part in so they present it either formally or informally to the external key publics.
Another suffering that Lomkokwing went through was the small number of students who joined Miss Botswana to the Rumah of Hope charity home. This being a result of poor distribution of information. The student portal was not used to invite students for such.
Although Limkokwing does pull of good events, I believe the events could also improve if information is distributed internally.

I agree with you,internal communication is very vital in every organisation because they share a common knowlegde about the organisation.
Internal staff has to known every event that is happening around them especially in a big University like limkokwing where there are events every week.
I believe the other way to improve internal communication is to have intranet to make it easy for all the employess,so please voice it out to your department.

it would be a good idea to propose the communication idea to them maybe they would see it's worth.
I realized your organization tends to forget about their key public when planning event because most of the events they hosts seems like a last minute thing. The students, which i suppose are their major key public are informed on that particular day which doesn't seem to be effective after all.
It sometimes seems like there was no point of host that particular event if no one attends it including the targeted audience.
Otherwise good communication is vital in this public relations world.

From the outside it might seem like the ever flowing events that Limkokwing has are last minute, well in terms of planning most of them are not but when it comes to delivering them or giving them cover, yes that happens last minute.
I will propose a communication system like you guys suggest because so far this is a major set back!
