At home with the Good Global Foundation

Hello everyone,

I am new to this blog and like the rest of you, not new to finding that there is hardship in looking for a real job in the outside world. To add to that, this which I am doing, along with the rest of you, is unpaid work experience which creates an even scarier thought.

However, in saying this, this is a worthwhile opportunity. It works well for both parties, the employer and us!

Working with an organisation that serves for the greater good is great. It creates a sense of giving and to think that you can do something to help such organisations such as invest your time gives an immense sense of pride.

The only slight concern that I have is doing this from home at my own time, which I tell you I have found hard to find. Though I do take every opportunity to delegate my time to such tasks given to me. I have come to learn that there is a difference in having to physically go into an office which contains a certain work ambience/atmosphere. Where one is allowed to learn about other members of a team or brainstorm ideas.

So far I've started a couple of weeks ago. I have done odd jobs along the way but I am still researching on my major tasks. I love the whole idea of rehabilitating those who have suffered from domestic violence. A home should be a capsule of love. A place where one learns everything about love, to be loved and how to love. Your most important studies of life starts from home. Therefore, anyone who has not had a chance at this or has been tainted by any form of abuse or has been isolated from innocence should have a chance at love. And the Golbal Good Foundation is a parent who definitely cares about this!

I am proud to be apart of this eventhough it proves a little challenging having to juggle time for my work experience at GGF, work outside, assignments and my personal life only because I would love to physically pop into an office every week to feel a sense of it's work atmosphere.

Next event is Dine for Life and then the Global Good Gala, which is exciting. Right now I am working on finding sponsorships for the event among other tasks which is exciting. The sad part is that my time may be up before this event and I may not be a part of it.

Anyway, back to work and I shall be back for more so I hope everyone is enjoying themselves and I look forward to reading the rest of your blogs!
